Is it just because this is an individual family requiring shots as opposed to an organization? Either being a nanny is a job, with employers, or it's a favor you're doing for some people, in which case you also shouldn't charge so much.[/quote]

M husband is active duty military and I still think it's ridiculous.  There are a lot of things I wouldn't join the military over, vaccines are just one.  Until you see them refuse to defer a smallpox vaccine even though there's a 9 day old baby in the house, shut up.[/quote]

Um ... I'm the PP who wrote the original military post. My husband is also active duty, and had to get the small pox vaccine while I was pregnant. He had even been previously vaccinated because he is old enough to have gotten it as a child. So, no, I won't shut up.[/quote]
