No a judgement would be dumb bitch is bad with her money she should go to hell or be hit by strain what a horrible person she is.
Fact op stated she needed this check to go on this trip.

Fact if you need a check to cover a trip or you will be in a pickle the trip is not a financially sound  choice.
Yes she is free to go on the trip, doesn't make her choice a wise financial choice because she wants it a chooses it.

You ARE making a judgment when you say she can't afford it. 1) that was not her question, and so your advice/judgment is unsolicited, and 2) what someone considers a sound financial decision will differ greatly from person to person.
