Secretly taping a nanny is the crux of the issue, not whether nannies deserve blind trust. Disclosing the cameras achieves the precise objective of deterring negligent caregivers but without the moral issue of hidden surveillance. There is nothing to gain by hiding the camera. Otherwise, I fully concur that parents should take precautions to monitor anyone they leave alone with their children.[/quote]
