I think it takes a special type of person to work with children.

One must genuinely love children. And have the personality to match it.

One must be fun, tolerant, mature, responsible, laid back, easy going, an excellent communicator, have a great sense of humor and love to engage and play play and play!

A must is to be a kid at heart.

Lots of my friends tell me they could never do what I do. They say they love their own kids, or course, but could never take care of anyone else's kids. They just do not have that in them.

I love what I do. It is personally rewarding because I know that I am playing a huge part in each child's growth and I know that when each child eventually outgrows their need for a caregiver, I will still be a very important and special part of their lives regardless. :)[/quote]
