MB here. OP, the things you're describing sound like fairly minor screwups to me. I think you're being WAAAY too hard on yourself, and I don't think you need to apologize profusely. If you like you can say to your employers "Sorry I was a little distracted the other day. It won't happen again" and nothing more. If you want to share something about what you were doing last week (it sounds pretty tough) that's fine but you don't need to. If you're a great nanny then a couple of off days (when no one was harmed at all) is really no big deal. Take it easy on yourself. We're all human.
Another MB here and totally agree. Hell, us parents certainly aren't perfect! We've all had those days both professionally and personally when we are just off. We are human after all. The mistakes you made are very minor. I mean, your charge would have let you know if he was mad at the missed feeding time. The car seat issue is a little more annoying, but obviously not that big of a deal if your boss said not to worry about it. anyways, I guess you can always see how they react. If they act like nothing is wrong or do a simple "at the end of the day just please make sure everything is out of your car" then they are likely good employers If they are like the MB on here who would give you shit, I'd be worried about what kind of people they are
