NP, but no personal challenges excuse cheating others. This MB is not doing what is best for her children, and she is trying to get over on OP. I think it is very likely that she is simply cheap, but even if it is a matter of affording things, she is not entitled to nanny care. I repeat, nanny care is not an entitlement. If you cannot afford it, you look at other options. My life is hard, and I'd like a mansion. Should I expect someone to give me one for the cost of my condo? No. That would be audacious. [/quote]

NP and I agree 1000% but I don't think that means these parents don't care about their children.  They probably don't care about the nanny given their behavior though.  I just think posts like the first one quoted brings the quality of the advice here down a notch.  Yes, what these employers are doing is awful.  Yes, the OP should look for a new job.  Yes, these employers are not entitled to a nanny just because they want one. BUT OP came here asking for advice and one sentence saying these parents don't care about their children is neither helpful to OP nor necessarily true.[/quote]
