Well, of course you would take Job 2 and you would be smart to do that.

But, there aren't very many job 2s out there, if any. Think of how foolish an employer would be to offer 17 paid days off for a 2.5 hour position.

You mean a total of 42.5 hours of paid time off total for the entire year, the majority of which you will also have off and won't need care? That's so hard to do? That's what you want us to believe? It may not happen often, but it does happen I assure you. And those who offer it have their pick of caregivers and they aren't scrambling for a new one every couple of months because the old one got fed up/doesn't need the money/doesn't think its worth it/wants to take a vacation/finds a better job. Oh please.  I did two jobs like this in college (morning and afternoon) and I was with them for all 4 years even though I didn't get PTO, vacations, or mileage reimbursement.  [/quote]
