You couldn't stay overnight?
I stayed overnight, because I work until 6 and start at 7 in the morning, so it didn't make sense for me to drive home (and I have no kids on my own)
I have a separate room at their house anyway, because once a week I work overnight.
My MB was so sweet - she stopped at the store on the way home and bought me food I could eat (I'm doing a cleanse for a few months), she cooked for me and she got me fuzzy slippers. She said my feet must be cold from shoveling snow while she was at work.

Clearly your situation is vastly different than most nannies...as you stated yourself you have a designated room. Most nannies have lives outside of their jobs and NEED to go home at the end of the day (to run their own errands, walk their dogs, do homework, clean their homes...etc). Staying overnight, for most nannies, is just absurd and a bit insulting. I doubt many MB/DB's are camping out in their offices to ensure that they are there on time the next day.[/quote]
