You should stay through Christmas, like you had originally planned. I've had employers forget to give checks, it happens. Give your notice that you are staying until Christmas like said you would. It will get MB off her butt to find someone and you will have followed through on a commitment.
BS. They didn't forget to write a check one week, that happens to most of us now and again, but failed to pay her repeatedly AND wrote bad checks. Dunno about OP but I have to pay a fee when a check bounces. They broke their commitment to her, so she owes them nothing.
OP never said they wrote her a bad check. She finds them to be rude and disrespectful, but never said they wrote her a bad check. Even if she "owes them nothing", she should still stay through when she said she would. It is frustrating not to be paid on time, believe me, I know, I've been there many times. And I have had a checks bounce on me before. It happens. I didn't quit my job when it happened. They offered to pay any fees that may have resulted because of it. We all make mistakes. You girls who whine about every little thing seriously need to grow up. No job is perfect, no person is perfect. Employers make mistakes. It happens. Get over it.
Said the doormat.
There is a huge difference between being a doormat and not quitting a job every time the wind blows.
I'm afraid to ask what it would take to make you quit a job if being treated like crap and not being paid in a timely fashion are just fine. That's about a bad as it gets.
