Did the nanny run her plans by them before booking the trip? Or has she not booked it yet and is requesting permission for it? I do think she has done everything she should - planned ahead, is taking the extra time unpaid, found a nanny you might choose to use for all four weeks, providing consistency for the kids vs different temp nannies each day. But she certainly should have asked permission from both families before buying her tickets. If she did, it's my opinion that you should approve her request - international trips are expensive, of course she wants to stay longer. [/quote]
