I agree. If you first spend four years sitting in college, it's that much less time getting actual on the job experience. And unless your parents pay for it, you have a ton of debt to repay. Lots of college grads are on unemployment and welfare these days. Someone told them that piece of paper would give them a job.[/quote]

So...you don't want nannies to get a college education? Really? So when nannies come on here complaining about making $10 an hour, you're not going to be first in line to jump up and say MAYBE YOU SHOULD GET A DEGREE IF YOU WANT TO EARN MORE?

Oh wait, no, you're a nanny without a degree trying to make yourself feel better. I understand now.

A degree is a good thing to have in your life, in general, but it does not mean you are automatically a good nanny - the same way not having one doesn't automatically mean you're a terrible nanny. But please don't make so many rude, sweeping generalizations. (Many people attend state schools to reduce or eliminate their debt. Others work their way through college. etc. etc. etc.)[/quote]
