With very young kids, toddlers and infants its the parents and nannies taking care of all their needs, planning their activities, and coming up with things to do. The 6 and 8 year old are making their own friends and into their own activities. They need a nanny who is more of a housekeeper, chauffeur, play date supervisor from a far, and homework supervisor not someone who is coming up with what to do everyday as she would with a 3yr old.

Its inevitable that this happens and most families just let the first nanny go. The OP is being given a transitional option. OP should be aware though that this is not going to be the last change. As the youngest gets even older, the needs will keep changing. If she wants a high paying job, she needs to start seeking a job with multiple infants again.
