The nanny is being given right of first refusal. She may or may not find a job that pays 1000+ an hour, In this area those jobs are few and far between. 2. The kids are 4,6, and 8. These are school age kids so $15 average an hour is not on the low side. They can definitely find a cheaper nanny/housekeeper. 3. This has nothing to do with taxes. The employer and employee are still paying the same proportions of taxes. Taxes are based are on gross amounts for both employee and employer.[/quote]
