What is all the anger/rage really about?
It seems like some nannies are just jealous of their employer's lifestyle. The bizarre expectation that some nannies have that they should get a% of the employer's net worth rather than be paid market rates isn't something you see in other fields. You may see employees in other fields want more money but the nanny perspective here is just very strange. Nanny positions are not high paying jobs. If you want to make more money you need to find a different field of work. This will require more education, skills, and the ability to compete against other people who also want to make more money.
This is certainly true for some nannies, but I don't think even the majority feel that way. And FWIW, I make more money as a nanny than I did as a (successful) teacher and work far fewer hours. I turned down a new teaching job in order to return to nannying and am so thankful I did. (Although what this says about how we pay our teachers is likely more important than the distinction between how "high paying" nanny jobs are!)
