OP, no one who hears about this would fault you for quitting! No need to use them for a reference, and in fact you could help others out by letting people know that they do as they please and do not think about their nanny/babysitters. If anyone will get a bad rap from this, it will be them. Glad they paid for your extra time, but seriously, do as another person said and QUIT before they can fire you! Send out an email now, and then do a phone call in a little bit. That way if they try to fire you on the phone, you have already quit through email and have that as written proof (print out the email with a date and time stamp on it as well).[/quote]
