And EITHER WAY, even if you did fail to spot a bad apple when making your hire, etc. etc., a letter from a previous job is only going to go so far if she can't then use you as a verbal reference as well. I wouldn't take any job with an MB who refused at [i]least[/i] semi-annual written references.[/quote]
