My boss used to do that every other week. I'd just send a txt "Hi X, I worked Zhrs this week and the total should be Y. My check is for B. Can you let me know if there is something I'm forgetting to subtract? otherwise we can just add this to my next week's paycheck? Thank you." And if you have a smartphone, get an app (I have timeme). I now just "punch in" start time then stop time and automatically calculates everything!!
+1 OP, this is how you do it! Don't let this go. Ask her so you don't resent it. It wont be awkward, if anything it'll be awkward for her. And there's no problem with sending it through a text if it'll make you more comfortable. If I get into a situation where I need to confront someone I will practice so I am confident in what I'm saying. Give it a try and find the words that work for you. Something like "Hello ____, I would like to speak to you for a moment about my paycheck, please call me when you get a moment" -- So atleast she'll have a heads up so you dont feel like you're catching her off guard.. Or you can just say what you need to say in the text and wait for a response. Lay out all the hours and walk her through it so theres no confusion. Can you please give us an update OP?
