Its always better to have a happy nanny than a sourpuss nanny who thinks she deserves more. The OP's circumstances have changed and at the same time her nanny is pricing herself out of a job. OP can make an offer and the nanny can choose to accept or decline. If the nanny declines, the OP has other options too. The OP shouldn't feel guilty or worse feel like she is held hostage to inflating her nanny's salary when it is outside her budget.[/quote]
