Not that it is any of beeswax, but for what it is worth I think this is a minor issue. Piercings/dyed hair are not "professional" and some may make assumptions about you based on their picture of what these things mean. But, really, anyone whose been around shouldn't be shocked. She must really be overprotective or judgmental on this particular issue if she's hung up on "not explaining to my 4-yr old that people would chose to dye their hair different colors." What is there to explain? Some people like to die their hair. End of story. Kid wouldn't think twice about it. (Also, they never see ppl with dyed hair in public? Interesting bubble they live in.)

If it had been me, I might have preferred you not to have dyed hair. But I would have interviewed you, and if I liked you enough, this would not have been an issue to me.

Best of luck - you probably dodged a bullet. She sounds inconsiderate a high maintenance. That is a bad combination.
