[quote=Anonymous] Dear potential employer(s). From the start, my husband and I were impressed by Jocelyn's attention to detail. communication, breadth and depth of knowledge, nurturing presence, and emotional investment in the children under her care. We felt safe leaving our twin toddlers with her and confident that they were blossoming as a result. There is no doubt in my mind that our daughters benefited enormously from their time with Jocelyn as their nanny. Jocelyn provided not only for their physical needs, but also their emotional and devélopmental ones. Her years of professional experience enabled her to help us track milestones. promote new skills, and encourage independent behavior. Apart from Jocelyn's obviously excellent care of the children, we felt reassured as parents by her reliability, prioritization of hygiene and COVID-19 protection procedures, trustworthiness, and thorough communication. She sent us extremely meticulous notes on the girls' daily routines (e.g. food intake, diaper changes, new words, etc.) and broader trends (eg. areas of particular interest, tricky areas, upcoming transitions to plan for, etc.), Jocelyn's diligent transmission of written descriptions, voice messages, and photos made us feel included and like we weren't missing anything by being away from the kids during the day, which is so valuable when outsourcing childcare. Jocelyn generously and consistently offered recommendations on age-appropriate toys, tools, clothing, activities, and methods of teaching. When she would notice that our family had an emerging need (e.g. the twins were becoming more interested in coloring; they were struggling with a certain syllable; they were outgrowing their sneakers, etc.), she would proactively address it (eg. by buying them an assortment of art supplies for their birthday and teaching them to paint; by creatively challenging the girls to practice their sounds and instructing us how to effectively prompt them as well: by sending us a list of shoe options in various price ranges, etc.). The twins will miss Miss Jojo terribly, and our entire family is grateful for our time with her. Any family would be fortunate to have her improving their child(ren)'s quality of life, cognitive development, skill set, and sense of joyful exploration of the world. Jocelyn is most interested in long-term care where she can work and grow with a family's young infant(s) or toddlers, and we hope that she can find a situation that fits well with this goal. Jocelyn can be reached at nannymissjocelyn@gmail.com. -the Ray Family (contact information to be provided at a later stage upon request to cross check) ———————————————————————- To whom this may concern: Jocelyn, or “Miss Jojo” as she was affectionately known, cared for our son from when he was 3 months to 5.5 months. We were lucky that she was open to a short-term arrangement as my maternity leave had ended and our son wouldn’t start daycare until later that summer. During this time, she was nothing short of amazing. From the start, we found her to be extremely trustworthy, punctual, communicative, and attentive to detail. Our son took to her immediately and we loved the positive and warm energy she brought into our home. Jocelyn's love for taking care of babies was evident in the thoughtful and attentive care she provided. She would take our son to the park daily, engage him with sensory activities (many of which she created herself), and maintain detailed notes on his eating, sleeping, and overall well-being. She kept us updated throughout the day with pictures and videos, which was incredibly reassuring. Jocelyn’s knowledge and experience with infants is extensive and she regularly shared tips and suggestions. This was especially helpful when it came to evolving our son’s nap schedule. Overall, she has set a very high bar for childcare in our family. We loved working with Jocelyn and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a top-notch infant caretaker. We would be happy to speak about our experiences with her further.
