Sitting for hours in a hospital is NOT your responsibility and you should decline especially if it's not in your contract. You also should stop over extending yourself because now it's no longer you "helping out' but more so you're now expected to do those things and I'm quite sure at the same rate you're being paid to nanny their baby.
