So far this year there have been a number of weeks where for one valid reason or another she's only come 3-4 days- sickness, snow days, holidays, etc. Yesterday she told me that she expects to be paid the 5 hours overtime every week, whether or not she works more than 40 hours. She considers those part of her salary. She also shared that she's never had a family not pay her the overtime hours.

I'd love any feedback here. Obviously, I default to the contract and wish she would have raised issues like these before signing it. I also am in a financial position where those overtime hours are meaningful to my budget- I of course want to be generous with the woman watching my children but I've never paid overtime hours if someone hasn't worked more than 40 hours.
