This family needs to take a step back and examine their priorities.

To tell a nanny not to put on a show, not even one show during a long shift is too much imo.

A one year old should not be having screen time.  If you are paying a nanny, they need to entertain the child.  That is their job.[/quote]

You must be a parent….a parent who expects their Nanny to always be “entertaining” their child - w/out any breaks during her entire shift.

You probably expect to stretch your dollar as far as you can &gt; in order to get the most out of your child’s caregiver.

What you do not understand is that ANYONE, whether it be a child’s caregiver or a parent…..will sometimes need a break from their caregiving duties.
Getting a break ensures that said child will overall have a better adult in charge, not a burned out one.

A small or minimal amount of TV has never hurt a child.
If an educational program is on, then that can only benefit the child as long as the child does not watch it all. the. time.

It’s not like a child is exposed to a violent, sexual or gory program.

Or even Cocomelon which is supposedly (:)) like crack for young children.
