Even though my husband is from a similar culture his family doesn’t come here for long visits. We always go to his country. I’m a little nervous things could come up that may make me uncomfortable with the grandparents. Any advice would be appreciated. I will not be bringing my own child to work with me but they are fine if I take walks with the baby and my kids around our neighborhood. Our neighborhood is very small … there are only 50 or so houses and it’s kind of like a little island because we can’t walk to other communities. I am no longer local to the DC area. For my rate I asked for $16. Since it’s only 10 hours a week I doubt we will take taxes out. I have another PT job that’s not nannying and I pay taxes with that job. Since DH makes a lot more than me we are taxed at 22 percent for my income. It’s really sucks so I would be okay with cash since it’s very partime.
