Going rate is $20-$25 for one child. I've never met a nanny making $30 except here on DC Urban Moms. I'm sure there are some out there for older children who are also tutors, or that are quailified for special need kids and charge more. But a good nanny for an infant which is a motherly nurturing caring nanny, is $20-25. You can find less than this too but it's either driving from farther out or is less experienced.
You have never met or hired a nanny through an agency, is that what you meant? if that's the case, I invite you check the rates offer by real parents in the agencies web pages. Just look for the job board and see for yourself. A professional and well seasoned and "nurturing"nanny won't take anything less than $30. Wake up and pop up your bubble!
