Got our nanny through an agency and pay on the books : 71k/52 weeks, 40 hours guaranteed. Health Insurance premium $450/monthly, Worker’s Comp, all US and federal holidays paid, 12 days PTO, we just got an extra car for her to drive our 13 month old son to and from activities. Nanny used her car when started with our family and paid mileage, car insurance and car wash membership.
If we need her to cover overnights add $130/night flat rate plus the legal OT 1.5. If we need her to travel with us, there’s travel fee same as overnight flat rate plus all meals and room included. OT legal paid if she travels during the weekend. We lucked out with her, she’s super reliable and very accommodating as we travel a lot for work.
Question regarding travel pay… When you say OT pay do you mean… 8 hrs regular pay + overnight $130 + OT pay for hours 9-24 each day even if she is not working? Or do you mean 8 hrs regular pay + $130 overnight fee + OT hourly pay for any time she is working over her 8 hrs (but not if she uses that time to rest/take herself out to dinner etc… Thank you!
