It isn't difficult at all to find an apartment. A fairly priced apartment is a different story, but apartments are everywhere. 
Your building asks for [b]36x[/b] your monthly gross? Are you sure about that?

I don’t think that’s the issue. They did the initial check of my credit and rental history, and did a pre approval with less than 10% of the monthly rent as deposit. Rent would only be 23% of my income, so that shouldn’t be the problem, either. When I lived in the DC area, my rent was closer to 40% of my income, and rent was never paid late. Housing is cheaper, and fairly plentiful where I am now.
