This feels like a troll post. I guess she technically could report you to the IRS and you might face penalties, but she’d be self reporting her own tax evasion as well, and she’d have to pony up the taxes on her own income, which I doubt she’d want to do…
+1 I agree….. This post DOES scream troll to me too for some reason. But I will bite - OP, if your Nanny quit, then why was your wife calling her over & over?? Also > you owe your Nanny the $$. Period. You (or your wife) need to pay the Nanny for the hours that she worked for you. It is against the law to withhold payment from her. She has the right to be paid immediately for her work + if you do not, you may rightfully (!) be sued in a court of law for much more. I concur that if a Nanny quits on the spot ~ it is usually because the job has become unbearable. Try speaking w/your wife to find out what could have possibly upset your Nanny last week. Good luck!
Right?! Feels troll-y. Op, if this is real, you need to sit your wife down and remind her she’s an adult. Good that you paid the nanny for services rendered. That’s the responsible thing to do. You also need to tell your wife she cannot call someone over and over - to the point that person blocks her. That’s not normal adult behavior.
+1 I agree that it is really weird for OP’s wife to call someone so many times that the person feels the need to block her. But this entire post just screams fake to me so… Next!
