I'm about to sign a full time job contract with a great family. However they will be starting to travel quite a bit more than I usually do but I'm ok with that. My question is what do you do if the baby is not in a schedule yet? Too little and wakes up a lot during the night. She is a sweetheart.Only 3 months old. I'm a little worried that I will be miserable not being able to sleep well at night. How much should I charge them for the first months until she is older and sleeping better? Money is not a issue for them and I want to be fair to them and myself. Thank you in advance.
24/7 care of an infant starts at $600/day ($25/hour), and if the infant will be in your room, ask for $720/day ($30/hour). If you just won't be able to sleep due to the baby crying and need other accommodations, it's totally reasonable to ask them to pay for a room of equivalent price in a nearby motel/hotel.
