I’ve worked for a handful of families who weren’t particulate organized but current NF house is just gross. They have small apartment and the litter box is in the living room and they won’t change it until the entire apartment smells like ammonia and cat poop. They’ll leave dishes out all weekend. I am not contracted to do their dishes but can’t tolerate a filthy sink/countertop, especially when I need to wash bottles. They clearly also never truly clean their bathroom. Mildew in the sink and showers. Toilet that hasn’t been scrubbed in months with black buildup and poop stains. The worst is the smell. Not only can I not pinpoint where the smell is coming from but I can’t pinpoint what the smell is either. The couch and master bed are both very stinky. Baby sleeps in master bedroom so I have to be in their from time to time. I kind of dealt with it but just found out I’m 5 weeks pregnant and these smells are triggering me. I also don’t want to puke in their nasty toilet. And is the smell of weeks worth of cat poop good for a fetus? I know it’s not good for an infant. I spend a few days a week at my house as it’s a bit larger with soft carpet and baby has started to crawl. They won’t want to really baby proof and sometimes the mom works in her office and prefers us out of the house. Debating just watching baby from my house full time. Don’t mind picking her up, dropping off but not sure I can stomach this house anymore. Yes. I know quitting as an option but this is otherwise a very easy, low pay, decently paying job that works really well with my schedule so I don’t want that to be my go-to.
