I guess the job might also be appealing to a parent with school aged kids who wanted summer job. My thought was that I'd offer something like 1/4 of the pay they'd miss over the summer, payable when they return, or a fraction of that if they let me know they aren't returning in time for me to find someone else without a scramble.
