Yeah, everyone said this when we hired our first nanny who was young  - that she’d have more energy and could relate to our child better.  So not true!  She was a very tired young woman who was constantly late and attached to her phone.  Three months in we let her go and hired a woman, a college graduate in her second career, who was 63 when she started with us.  She’s never been late in three years and has more energy than DH and I combined.

OP, you mention that #1 isn't strong in English, but your description about the target language "She speaks target language and both references (also native Spanish speakers) thought she would be able to help with academics I described" seems...lackluster?

With #2, what happens when COVID ends? Sounds like she'll want to go back to photography, but maybe that doesn't matter since DC will be back in school? [/quote]
