Our au pair, who's been fabulous and a trouper in all regards, is interested in leaving between one and two months early. We support her request completely given that she wants to start an academic program in the fall (not originally part of her plan but a good redirect given COVID). I've previously been informed by our agency that au pairs can leave up to one month early and still get their ticket home and "credit" for completion. questions: 1) Does anyone know if there is any wiggle room on this / any way to lobby for a slightly earlier departure? 2) We'd be happy to fly her home, but that leaves this murky question of "credit." What is it and does it matter? Any light to be shed or advice very much appreciated. Thank you!
We had a great rematch au pair who didn’t finish her credits because of the timing of her rematch. She did not get “credit” for her year and didn’t care. CCAP still paid for her flight home.
