Poor HF #3.  You failed to disclose the truth to them so they took your nightmare.  Now you're "full disclosure" with Family #4 so Family #3 likely won't be able to get rid of her.

Note to HFs:  Even in these crazy times, do NOT consider an AP who has already gone through 2 families.  One rematch, maybe (but only because of COVID), but more than one in the same 12 months?  No way.[/quote]

I’ll throw out a contrary opinion to this one: we had a lovely au pair who came to us from rematch. She was great, but when COVID hit and both parents started WFH likely through summer, it made no sense to continue in the program, so we stopped. She is now with her third family in under 12 months but she was definitely one of the best au pairs we’ve had. I’d take her back in a heartbeat if I through COVID would be over by August. [/quote]
