What can you tell me about your ability to carry a 30-40 pound child?  How many sick days have you taken in the last three years?  Do you have anyone at home (covers spouse/so, children, elderly parents) who may need help from you requiring time off if they were to get sick or become injured?  Do you have any other commitment that would prevent you from being on time everyday?  Do you have any reasons why you would not want and/or be able to start early or stay late, [b]even on a very infrequent basis?[/b]

I’m a nanny.  No, I don’t have plans after work, but the availability I promise my families is not something most nannies could or would promise.  Please look above at the bolded.  It asks whether the nanny is willing and capable of flexing her hours at least once a year.  Personally, I don’t think that very infrequent need to come early or stay late should bar a nanny from a position, but a family may have different needs.[/quote]
