Very irresponsible!!
The parents are still tele working even though they have tested positive as well. So they need me to watch the kids. Would other nannies refuse to work even if they felt ok ?
YES!!!!! Christ this is part of the problem. IF YOU HAVE COVID QUARANTINE FOR 14 DAYS MINIMUM Quarantine means NO CONTACT with the outside world, even if you are considered essential. Normally I try to be nice in my replies but it terrifies me to think people are doing this
I live with my nanny family. We all have it. I haven’t left the house in 2 weeks. But I’m still working even though I have it. I can’t give it to anyone else. We are all quarantining. But they are tele working. So I worked last week. I’m just wondering if other nannies would do the same.
Ok, I’m 20.34. You didn’t say you live-in before, and that changes things. My rule of thumb is this (also live-in): I only fall off if I’m vomiting, have diarrhea or a high fever (102+), or can’t perform my duties due to symptoms or medication. If I’m ill, but I think I can work, I ask a parent to decide based on symptoms, that way they are informed. If you feel fine, and you know the kids are either already exposed or (more likely) are asymptotic, and the parents are working? Yes, I’d work too.
