I’ve done Red Cross, but personally I would like to find a class that is child focused.
You didn’t do the Red Cross Infant/Child CPR and first aid class. It’s an eight hour class that daycare owners must take. As a nanny, I highly recommend it. I re-certify every two years. Side note (and sadly) This last time I took it, there was section dedicated to stopping bleeding on a child after a shooting. Such is our world now.
Thanks. Fellow nanny here and I need to re-certfy after hearing this.
I’ve done the combined, and I agree that the 8 hour in person seems better if you can swing it. But I have enough trouble fitting in the shorter class.
Do the Saturday, all day, class. It’s so worth the day once every two years and easier for me than when they divide the class into two four hour evenings. All nannies should have this certification. Red Cross offers the class in Spanish as well.
