I agree with PP, gifts flow down and my child is the same as if You were giving gift to me.  In fact, I put a limit of amount household employees can spend.  I also think your MB does not need a lecture on how to be gracious from her nanny.  Like it or not, she is still your boss and her wishes supercede yours.[/quote]
