I'm just trying to understand the logic because there seems to be a range from $18-$24 for two, depending on the nanny's experience. I've never heard of someone being offered $25 per hour for one child, even an infant. Are we talking about the same area? DMV?[/quote]

Rates are different for every nanny. You don’t know every family so you don’t know what everyone is willing to offer. Just what your circle is willing to offer. There are plenty of nannies in this area making $25/hr for one child.
