You need to be gentle with the toys you can break it or hurt someone.” Then if she starts playing with the toy nicely I tell her “good job, that’s how you play with the car” etc. If she does it again, I repeat. 3rd time, okay all done, it’s time to pick something else, you are not being gentle with this toy- take toy away and don’t give it back until the afternoon and when you do let them know if they throw it, you will take it, no warning. For hitting his head of course intervene as he could really hurt himself. I had a boy (age 2) he used to bang his head on the ground out of anger. I would talk to Him, let him know that will hurt you and it makes you sad when he does that. Also talk to the parents about him banging his head- not good. [/quote]
