Somehow I know many people who have taken a few years working very little in their field, either to take care of children, or deal with a cancer diagnosis, or write a novel, or follow a spouse, and they have all managed to come back to work just fine. The only people I know who had trouble were people who completely left and did nothing in their field for over a decade. [/quote]
