If I were to ask for them to contribute to my health insurance, do you know how the funds are disbursed? Is it included in my gross, cash/personal check or do parents/employers make a payment directly? Thank you![/quote] If they do it the legal way, you show them that you paid the premium, and then they reimburse you in your check. Then it is non-taxable (up to a maximum amount each year; I want to say it's around $4K in 2018). Or they can just raise your pay, and you can do whatever you want with the money, but then it is taxed like all pay.[/quote]
