You can offer her what she's worth in terms of her experience and qualifications and she will almost definitely accept and be happy, but you may come to resent the cost if you feel like you aren't benefiting all of the knowledge and skills that come with that rate. Or maybe you'll find that she really does bring something useful to the table that's worth the expense. Or, you can offer her what you think the job is worth for someone with her experience and qualifications only in the relevant areas. She might be happy with that number, or she might take it because it's close to what she feels she deserves, but she may keep looking for something where her additional skills and experiences would be useful and thus command a higher rate.
