You could do 3 hours per day at $20 per hour. I would have the nanny arrive at your house at 4pm, throw in a load of laundry, prep dinner, then go pick up your DC (assuming his daycare is not far from where you live). Then return home, put the clothes in the dryer, cook dinner and play with DC. You get home, and then she can deal with folding/putting away the laundry and help clean up dinner, leaving at 7pm.
Not really a nanny - more like a housekeeper who babysits - but I am not going to get into that here. Go up to $25 an hour, off the books, OP. Even if you did one day a week yourself, you could still get someone for Monday thru Thursday, 4 to 7, for $25 cash - no benefits. Take DD out to eat on Fridays. In my experience, these positions have a great deal of turn-over. Save the wording for your care.com ad because you will need to place the ad several times before DD can care for herself after school.
