Signing is also a great way to light up both sides of the brain ( the reason we do "itsy bitsy spider" and "twinkle, twinkle little star "). My charge is stunningly verbal at 17 months, speaks in full sentences and does about 30 signs while she talks. Preschools are teaching sign language to three and four year olds. [/quote]
