I always do it before interviews, so I don't get lost or are late. Also to check out the commute. They called and texted me basically begging me to come interview. They wanted to make sure I didn't take any unnecessary route and if they could do anything to change my mind. I finally agreed to meet with them, and it went well. They seem like a great family.
