The 3 year old in school doesn't really give you a break in salary since the nanny will need to cover all sick days and school holidays - as well as do his laundry and meals.  I would say, since you are not asking for a college degree or experience, you could find someone for $20 an hour plus overtime and benefits.  [/quote]

If you are in DC itself, and the nanny will be doing drop off and pick up, I would suggest starting at $20/hour, but be aware that you may need to go higher.  Most nannies in DC use metro.[/quote]
