I would not enter into a live in situation just b/c it is the only way you can afford the nanny.  
If you do you have a lot to think about- ex food.
Our nanny eats dinner with us most nights, and we pay for all of her food (unless she goes out with friends, etc.)  This actually adds substantially to our food budget.
Similarly- our water bill has gone way up since she moved in b/c she does small loads of laundry constantly.  Our electric bill is also up b/c she is terrible about turning off lights, etc.[/quote]

No, it's a small basement and there is no separate room.  We would HAVE to go through her living area to access the washer and dryer.  We have a guest room but it is right across from our room, right next to the baby's room and is very small.  There is a bathroom in the hallway that we basically designated as a guest bathroom and the baby's bathroom but we would need to use the bath-tub as it is the only one in the house.

Yeah, I kind of figured, this is probably not going to be a good situation.  I figured I'd look into it as a option even if it is a very remote idea; explore all possibilities! [/quote]
