Our washer and dryer are down there in a small, closeted space and there is a patio to our backyard.  There is no where else we could move the washer or dryer and there is no other way to access the backyard.  I have an old desk that could possibly be moved into the garage, a closet (that is currently full of junk) that I would need to clean out, and an old sofa.  There are some toys but those are easy to move.

I imagine this situation would probably need to go on for at least 6 months in order for her to get a renter.

Is this crazy to even think about this?  This feels rather extreme to me to create such an upheaval for just 6 months.  What are the typical expectations with housing and privacy with a live-in nanny?  [/quote]
