Op here. Thank you everyone for the prayers and kind words. He came home late yesterday afternoon and slept most of the day. We just had a little low key bday celebration for him at the house with just his parents the baby and I. I have no idea what the name of the medication is called because it's been changed a few times over the months but I know he takes it combined with melatonin. I am going over later today but his parents says he's back to himself!
Why on earth did he have access to medication? Parents need to supervise him better. Glad he is ok.
Op here. This doesn't make sense to me at all either. Apparently it was still out from when she initially administered his dose and hadn't put it away yet. I've seen bottles with his name on them up high in cabinets but from what she described it sounds like they had put it in something else that was easier for him to open. When she explained it she mentioned him going through the days and opening the compartments or something to that effect. Which is completely ASININE. The meds should remain in the child proof containers. Of course the hospital contacted CPS and they came to interview her while there. He's been given more than he is supposed to before. The last time both parents have it to him without the other knowing. But this was way more serious.
Why is a young kid on all those drugs? It sounds like its for the parents benefit vs. the child's. If this is for real, there is much more to the story.
